BRAVA Girls Team Opportunities
BRAVA Girls Team Opportunities helps athletes continue playing after their school season through regional, travel, and beach volleyball. Our practice-based evaluation helps us recommend the right path while keeping our focus on individual attention and real development.
Ages
Girls ages 10–17 may submit this interest form.
Indoor team opportunities currently focus on the 12U–13U Regional Team and 14U–15U Travel Team.
Other athletes may be considered for BRAVA Beach Season or future opportunities.
When
Indoor regional and travel opportunities generally run from fall through spring.
Team-practice evaluations are scheduled only after each athlete’s school volleyball season is officially complete. Beach opportunities are scheduled separately.
Where
Indoor practices are held in Silverhill, Alabama.
Beach practices are held at SOS Beach Courts in Spanish Fort. Exact location and arrival instructions will be shared with registered families.
Practices
The 12U–13U Regional Team is expected to practice twice per week. The 14U–15U Travel Team is expected to practice three times per week.
Final days and times will depend on team formation, athlete availability, and gym scheduling. The BRAVA Beach Season schedule will be shared separately.
Games
Regional and travel teams will compete in a planned tournament schedule. Regional events will prioritize competition closer to home, while the Travel Team will include additional travel and higher-level competition. The tournament schedule will be shared before a family accepts a team offer. Beach event opportunities will be announced separately.
Jerseys
Athletes who accept an indoor team position will need an official BRAVA uniform package. Uniform items and costs will be explained in the team offer before the family accepts. Beach apparel requirements will be shared separately.
Extra Costs
Submitting this interest form and attending the initial practice evaluation are free. No payment is required at this stage.
Before accepting a team position, families will receive a complete cost summary, including team fees, uniform costs, tournament travel, and any other expected expenses. Families can review everything before committing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this registration a traditional tryout?
No. After the athlete’s school volleyball season is officially complete, she may be invited to attend a BRAVA team practice for a free evaluation. Completing the registration or attending a practice does not guarantee a roster position.
How are athletes selected for a team?
During the practice evaluation, we will observe the athlete’s skills, attitude, communication, coachability, and commitment. Placement will also depend on age, position needs, team fit, and roster availability. If the athlete is a good match, the family will receive a team invitation with the schedule, cost, and next steps.
Is there a cost to register or attend the practice evaluation?
No. The interest registration and initial practice evaluation are free, with no payment or commitment required. Families will receive the complete schedule and cost information before deciding whether to accept a team invitation.
Can my athlete register while her school volleyball season is still in progress?
Yes. She may submit the interest registration now, but she will only be considered for a BRAVA practice evaluation after her school volleyball season is officially complete.
What if we are not sure which BRAVA opportunity is the best fit?
Select “Not Sure – Please Recommend the Best Option” on the registration form. We will review the athlete’s age, experience, position, interests, and availability to help recommend the most appropriate path. Final placement will depend on the practice evaluation and roster availability.
